As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government transit location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to concerns with clear communication and customer service. This armed post requires a valid armed guard card or license and a concealed carry weapons permit.

** What You'll Do:*
* + Provide customer service to passengers, employees, and visitors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at government transportation locations.

+ Carry and maintain assigned firearms and related equipment in accordance with licensing requirements, post orders, and Allied Universal policies, and coordinate with local law enforcement and/or transit personnel as needed.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, medical calls, alarms, and suspicious activity, and communicate updates via radio and/or phone.

+ Conduct regular and random armed patrols of stations, platforms, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards or policy violations.

+ Complete detailed incident reports, logbook entries, and evidence documentation as required, and support access control by checking credentials, monitoring designated entry points, and directing individuals to appropriate resources.

* + Possess a concealed carry weapons permit.

+ Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.

+ Possess an armed guard card and/or license.

+ Provide proof of a high school diploma and/or GED as required by the client.

+ Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
