** Brooklyn, NY** , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control and visitor flow, document observations, and communicate clearly with staff and the public.

** What You'll Do:*
* + Provide customer service to staff, residents, and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.

+ Conduct regular and random foot patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations; working environments and conditions may vary by location.

+ Monitor access points and common areas, observe for unusual conditions, and assist with visitor check-in and/or directing individuals to the appropriate department in accordance with site procedures.

+ Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation support, contacting the appropriate agency and/or supervisor, and coordinating response until relieved.

+ Document observations, incidents, and patrol activity in written reports and/or electronic logs, and communicate timely updates to site management and Allied Universal leadership.

* + Have 6+ months of security experience.

+ Provide proof of high school diploma or GED as required by the client.

+ Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

+ A guard card and/or license is preferred.

+ Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
