What You'll Do:

* Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government services location.

* Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting observations and reporting concerns through appropriate channels.

* Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including entrances, common areas, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas, to help to deter unauthorized activity.

* Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with site policies, offering direction and assistance to visitors, staff, residents, and/or vendors as needed.

* Support a professional environment by communicating with site personnel, following post orders, and reporting maintenance issues, hazards, and/or unusual behavior that could impact daily operations.

Minimum Requirements:

* A New York State Security Guard License is required.

* At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.

* Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.

* Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

* Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

* Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

* Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

* A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
