What You'll Do:

* Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.

* Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, and communicate observations to site contacts and/or public agencies as needed.

* Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols throughout buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and report maintenance, hazard, and/or policy concerns.

* Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas, verify access permissions when required, and document daily activities, incidents, and/or irregularities in accordance with site expectations.

* Support order at the location by following post instructions, assisting with directional information, and addressing security-related concerns from the public and/or employees with professionalism and courtesy.

Minimum Requirements:

* A valid driver's license is required in the state where the job is located.

* At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.

* Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.

* Be at least 21 years of age.

* Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

* Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

* Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

* Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

* A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
