What You'll Do:

* Provide customer service to visitors, residents, staff, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government services location.

* Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and notifying appropriate site contacts when needed.

* Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, surrounding grounds, entry points, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.

* Monitor access to the location by verifying identification, observing visitor activity, and reporting suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or maintenance concerns to the appropriate personnel.

* Assist with de-escalation support during tense interactions, provide directions and information to the public, and help to maintain orderly operations in high-traffic and/or sensitive service areas.

Minimum Requirements:

* Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.

* Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.

* Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.

* Access control and badge experience is preferred.

* Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

* Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

* Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

* Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

* A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
