Security Officer - Major Utility Provider

As a Security Officer - Major Utility Provider, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer supporting dynamic utility and telecommunications locations. In this role, you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication.

What You'll Do:

* Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or employees while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at utility and communications locations.

* Respond to incidents, service requests, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.

* Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual conditions.

* Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials when required, and report suspicious behavior, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations according to site protocols.

* Support security-related operations for offices, facilities, and/or infrastructure areas by maintaining a visible presence, following post orders, and assisting with access control and incident reporting duties.

Minimum Requirements:

* Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

* Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

* Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

* As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

* Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

* A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
