AMR is seeking an Automotive Mechanic to maintain and repair our ambulance and medical transport fleet. In this critical support role, you'll inspect, diagnose, and repair gas and diesel vehicles, ensuring they are mission ready for emergency and non emergency response. Duties include preventive maintenance, brake and suspension work, electrical diagnostics, documentation, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards. You'll collaborate with operations and clinical teams to minimize downtime and support patient focused care in a fast paced, safety driven environment.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair ambulance and medical transport vehicles
  • Perform scheduled preventive maintenance to maximize fleet uptime
  • Service and repair engines, brakes, steering, suspension, and HVAC systems
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical and electronic vehicle systems
  • Ensure all work meets safety, quality, and regulatory standards
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
  • Collaborate with operations and clinical teams to prioritize vehicle repairs
  • Respond to urgent repair needs to keep units mission ready
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized shop environment
  • Support continuous improvement and training initiatives
