Housing Coordinator
Express Employment Professionals – Brooklyn, NY is seeking a compassionate and organized Housing Coordinator to join a respected nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting individuals and families in need of housing assistance. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, empathetic, and experienced in case management or housing programs.
Job DescriptionAs a Housing Coordinator, you'll play a vital role in helping clients secure and maintain stable housing. You'll coordinate housing placements, assist with applications and documentation, and collaborate with landlords, community partners, and social service agencies to ensure successful outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Assist clients with housing applications, renewals, and required documentation
- Maintain communication with landlords and property management companies
- Conduct client assessments and develop individualized housing plans
- Monitor housing stability and provide follow-up support
- Maintain accurate case notes and program records in compliance with agency standards
- Collaborate with community organizations and service providers to connect clients with additional resources
Experience – 2+ years of experience in housing coordination, case management, or social services Education – Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Human Services, or related field (preferred) Skills – Excellent communication, organization, and advocacy abilities Knowledge – Familiarity with affordable housing programs, HUD, or supportive housing systems Professionalism – Ability to handle confidential client information with discretion Commute – Must reside within a reasonable distance (60 minutes or less commute)
