Service Now Developer – Senior Associate

The Service Now Developer – Senior Associate plays a critical role in the design, development, and maintenance of Service Now applications and workflows. They will leverage their knowledge of JavaScript, low-code/no-code configurations, and platform capabilities to build scalable solutions across various Service Now modules. This role requires experience with application development, external system integrations, and the ability to support enterprise-level service delivery.

The Senior Associate is also expected to mentor junior developers and uphold coding and development best practices. Those in cloud operations at PwC will focus on managing and optimizing cloud infrastructure and services to enable seamless operations and high availability for clients. You will be responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and implementing industry leading practices for cloud-based systems. The Service Now Developer – Senior Associate contributes to enhancing and maintaining the Service Now platform to improve business efficiency and enable cross-functional solutions.

• Design, develop, and maintain custom applications and modules on the Service Now platform.
• Configure and implement workflows, forms, business rules, and client/server scripts using JavaScript.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
• Integrate Service Now with external systems using REST/SOAP APIs.
• Participate in code reviews, release planning, and Agile ceremonies to ensure clean, maintainable code.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior developers, promoting platform standards and best practices.

Qualifications

• 4-7 years of working experience in a Service Now development role.
• Service Now Certified System Administrator (CSA) - required.
• Service Now Certified Application Developer (CAD) - required.
• Service Now ITSM Certification - preferred.

Required Skills

• JavaScript Programming
  - Proficient in client-side and server-side scripting within the Service Now platform.
• Service Now Platform Development
  - Skilled in building custom applications and workflows across modules.
• REST and SOAP Integration
  - Capable of integrating Service Now with external systems using standard APIs.
• Agile/Scrum Methodologies
  - Comfortable working in iterative development environments and sprints.
• Proficient in HTML, CSS, XML, SOAP, and REST.
• Experienced using the Service Now App Developer tooling.

Preferred Skills

• Understanding of Service Now ITSM, ITOM, and ITAM modules.
• Experience with Service Catalog and CMDB.
• Familiarity with low-code/no-code development on Service Now App Engine.
• Exposure to Service Now Flow Designer.
• Understanding of Performance Analytics and Integration Hub is a plus, but not required.
