Job Description

The Staff Pad has partnered with a leading logistics and warehousing organization to hire an experienced and dependable Inventory Controller for its Brooklyn, NY location. As an Inventory Controller, you will play a key role in maintaining accurate inventory records and supporting efficient transportation and warehousing operations. You will oversee inventory tracking, conduct audits, resolve discrepancies, and ensure compliance with company procedures.

Working closely with warehouse, transportation, client services, and management teams, you will help optimize inventory accuracy and support operational excellence.

What You'll Do

  • Maintain accurate inventory records through cycle counts and physical inventories
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Enforce inventory control procedures to minimize loss, damage, and shrinkage
  • Prepare inventory reports and provide insights to management
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve inventory accuracy and efficiency
  • Track inventory movements using inventory management systems
  • Support inventory audits and ensure compliance with company policies and SOPs

What We Are Looking For

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred
  • 2+ years of inventory control, warehouse, or logistics experience preferred
  • Experience with inventory management and warehouse management systems (WMS)
  • Additional Skills & Attributes
    • Excellent attention to detail and proficiency in MS Office Suite
    • Strong analytical, communication, organizational, time-management and problem-solving skills
    • Knowledge of transportation, warehousing, and inventory control best practices
    • Ability to support process improvements and maintain SOP compliance
