Be the face of patient excellence and quality customer service. As a Unit Clerk in the Telemetry department, you will meet and greet patients and family members, providing a compassionate ear and calm direction while keeping our fast‑paced environment running smoothly.

• Coordinate appointments and perform general clerical duties at the unit nursing station to assure the timely, efficient and accurate flow of patient information.
• Welcome and direct visitors and hospital colleagues to appropriate areas.
• Page nurses and answer phones on your unit.
• Sign for important medical deliveries.
• Cultivate a courteous and respectful demeanor while multitasking between people and responsibilities.
• Provide compassionate patient focus and superior customer service.

This position is a part‑time (2 shifts per week) evening shift (3:30PM–midnight) at New York‑Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital. All employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP; NYP will not reimburse travel expenses.

• Experience in a healthcare environment.
• Knowledge of Cerner and Eagle.

• High School Diploma or Equivalency.
• Minimum of one‑year previous clerical experience.
• Knowledge of computer skills such as Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and courteously with staff, patients, and visitors.

Salary Range: $24.79‑$26.66 per hour.
