Business and People Assistant

Join Our Team!

We are seeking a detail-oriented and people-focused Business and People Assistant to support the day-to-day business, human resources, and administrative operations of our senior living community. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys helping others, staying organized, and ensuring the behind-the-scenes operations of the community run smoothly.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with payroll processing and timekeeping to ensure employees are paid accurately and on time.

  • Coordinate new hire onboarding, including employment paperwork and orientation.

  • Assist team members with benefits enrollment and related documentation.

  • Maintain accurate employee records and personnel files while ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

  • Perform HR and payroll data entry within company systems.

  • Provide administrative support including filing, document preparation, data entry, and maintaining an organized business office.

  • Serve as a backup receptionist by greeting visitors, answering phones, and assisting residents, families, team members, and guests.

  • Communicate with the corporate support team regarding payroll, HR, and business office matters.

  • Support community leadership with additional administrative projects and duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required.

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field preferred.

  • Minimum of three (3) years of administrative or office experience required.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.

  • Experience with payroll, timekeeping, HRIS, or accounting systems is preferred.

  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.

  • Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
