The Commercial Compliance Officer – Servicing will be a member of the Commercial Lending and Deposits Compliance team within Compliance Risk Management. The role provides loan servicing support to business and commercial lines of business by researching, interpreting, and assisting with applying the related laws and regulations.
As a subject matter expert, the officer provides consultative advice, performs oversight activities, and assumes responsibility for mitigating actions that may expose Key Corp and its affiliates to risk outside its desired risk appetite. The officer serves as a corporate subject matter expert for all compliance risks of assigned lines of business, develops relationships of trust with the designated lines of business, provides oversight and monitoring of line of business processes and controls, proactively identifies process improvements or control gaps, and facilitates necessary associated changes.
The officer stays abreast of new laws and regulations, performs impact and gap analyses as applicable, assists with regulatory compliance exams, corporate policy and training development, and educates staff on related regulations. Independent review and challenge of line of business activities, issue management and resolution, and participation or leadership in projects related to mitigating risk to Key are also responsibilities.
The officer assists the broader Commercial Lending and Deposits Compliance team with various aspects of commercial banking.
Required Qualifications- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience required.
- Juris Doctorate or CRCM preferred.
- 3‑5 years of experience as a financial services compliance professional, bank regulator, or other comparable legal experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the regulatory requirements related to loan servicing compliance.
- Experience applying and interpreting SCRA, FCRA, ECOA, UDAP/UDAAP, state law requirements, and other commercial or banking laws and regulations.
- Demonstrated knowledge of operational processes that facilitate business and commercial loan servicing.
- Ability to comprehend and interpret federal and state laws that apply to loan servicing or other commercial banking requirements.
- Strong relationship management and leadership skills.
- Flexibility to undertake new functions and tasks as the Compliance Risk and line of business evolves and grows.
- Proven ability to work in a team environment.
- Sound decision‑making skills; ability to make decisions independently and quickly.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Sound understanding of compliance risks.
- Strong research and analytical/problem‑solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Experience working within the three lines of defense model strongly considered.

This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $71,000.00 – $ annually. Placement within the pay range may differ based upon various factors, including but not limited to skills, experience and geographic location. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for incentive compensation, which may include production, commission, and/or discretionary incentives.
