Job SummaryThis is a dynamic role responsible for validating and confirming Identity Verification alerts to minimize potential fraud, AML, and organizational risk to Key Bank. The role analyzes results to identify patterns and trends, makes recommendations to mitigate identity verification risks, and communicates effectively with internal business partners.
Roles and Responsibilities- Review, analyze, and decide on complex Identity Verification alerts relating to both Fraud and AML risk.
- Utilize multiple internal and external sources to conduct comprehensive investigations and document evidence accordingly.
- Think critically and holistically to understand differences between Fraud and AML.
- Identify trends and patterns of suspicious activity relating to digital applications and recommend risk mitigation.
- Partner with internal stakeholders (Fraud, AML, Lines of Business) to share analysis, trends, or patterns.
- Support organizational projects related to Identity Verification.
- Demonstrate strong attention to detail and produce quality work with minimal errors.
- Identify and offer ideas to improve group efficiencies.
- Develop, utilize, and share knowledge of Identity Verification industry trends and serve as subject matter expert.
- Consistently demonstrate core Key values.
- Perform ad hoc tasks as assigned.
- Support the Enterprise Identity Verification program by building knowledge of current products across all LOBs.
- Identify and resolve complex issues without established guidelines.
- Train or assist in training new staff.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong analytical, research, and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent critical thinking, judgment, and decision‑making skills.
- Proactive and effective performance in a dynamic environment.
- Self‑motivated in a remote environment, working with limited to no supervision.
- Open‑minded and adaptable to new ideas in a rapidly changing environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with internal partners and clients.
- College degree in a relevant field.
- Minimum 3 years in back‑office banking operations role requiring understanding of risk, fraud, and/or AML processes.
- Knowledge of Digital Identity Verification red flags related to fraud and AML.
- Experience with Fraud and AML detection systems, including but not limited to Alloy and Lexis Nexis.
- Awareness of industry trends associated with Digital Identity Verification risk.
- Understanding of Digital Onboarding processes.
- Success working independently and collaboratively.
- Relevant certifications: ACAMs and/or CFE are a plus.
This position is eligible for a base hourly rate in the range of $20.67 – $31.25 per hour. Placement within the pay range may differ based on skills, experience, and geographic location. Compensation also includes incentive compensation, which may include production, commission, and/or discretionary incentives.
