ABOUT THE JOB (JOB BRIEF)Credit Portfolio Analysts serve as portfolio monitoring managers of Key Community Bank's Small Business Commercial portfolio. They are responsible for the development and execution of portfolio management strategies to maintain asset quality while ensuring compliance with credit policy and guidelines. They gather and analyze various pieces of credit information to monitor approvals and declinations decisioned by the underwriting team, drive workflow, and proactively take the necessary actions.
ESSENTIALJOB FUNCTIONS
- Ability to analyze credit data including underwriting decisions, document and communicate findings providing relative guidance.
- Monitor various queues related to portfolio activities.
- Perform critical post approval/booking certification functions to maintain data integrity and quality by assessing critical data elements (i.e., Customer and facility risk ratings, proper Probability of Default and Loss Given Default, citing of credit policy exceptions, compliance around restricted industries, etc.) and make determination as to compliance with underwriting guidelines and credit policy.
- Closely monitor all asset quality measures including performance against tolerances.
- Periodic assignments related to the constantly changing risk management environments using knowledge of commercial loan systems, data elements and policy/procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned; duties, responsibilities and/or activities may change or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice. Complies with all Key Bank policies and procedures, including without limitation, acting professionally at all times, conducting business ethically, avoiding conflicts of interest, and acting in the best interests of Key's clients and Key.
- Bachelor's Degree with a preferred focus on Business course work, or equivalent work experience.
- Satisfactory understanding and knowledge of commercial credit policies, procedures, and loan systems (preferred).
- Familiarity with, and understanding of, commercial credit underwriting/approval methodologies and their use (preferred).
- Ability to work well individually as well as part of a team.
- Accomplished self-starter and well-organized in thought and action.
- Possess a process improvement mindset.
- Strong organizational skills, ability to set priorities in a multitask environment.
- Satisfactory knowledge and proficiency in working with personal computers and business software (e.g., Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint).

- General Office – Prolonged sitting, ability to communicate face to face in person or on the phone with teammates and clients, frequent use of PC/laptop, occasional lifting/pushing/pulling of backpacks, computer bags up to 10 lbs.
- Hybrid – 3+ days in office. Preferred location is Amherst, NY however will consider applicants local to Brooklyn, OH.
This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $52,000.00 - $80,000.00 annually. Placement within the pay range may differ based upon various factors, including but not limited to skills, experience and geographic location. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for incentive compensation which may include production, commission, and/or discretionary incentives.
