Job Summary The Trust and Estate Analyst provides trust administration support and fulfils fiduciary responsibilities by providing basic trust administration for Key Private Bank (KPB) clients and their beneficiaries. While serving on the KPB Specialty Teams and within the relationship management team, collaborates effectively and provides insight and solutions to attract, retain and grow clients. Actively manages trust and agency accounts, in accordance with established policies and procedures to a high professional standard while managing fiduciary risk.

Retains and deepens profitable client relationships within assigned revenue base. Where appropriate, may focus on an area of specialty trust expertise. Successfully identifies opportunities to enhance client relationships while using proper channel management.

Essential Functions Works in partnership with a Trust and Estate Settlement Officer on assigned fiduciary and agency accounts to administer settlements. May serve as primary contact for some account relationships.

Reviews and maintains client information on trust accounting system and all applicable vendor systems.

Applies sound fiduciary judgement to trust matters

Discovers, analyzes and researches client transactions and recommend solutions as needed.

Analyzes and interprets legal instruments to determine duties and responsibilities of bank as Trustee.

Develops relationships with clients/beneficiaries and their service providers, such as attorneys and accountants, etc., to grow/maintain relationships. May involve proactive client outreach.

Builds and maintains effective working relationships with other team members/partners to ensure high quality and timely administration of assigned accounts.

Leads by example and demonstrates client focus and teamwork towards both clients and Key Bank employees. Provides back-up to other team members.

Mitigates risk by servicing accounts in compliance with Key Bank policies and procedures, as well as with regulatory and legal requirements.

Performs other duties as assigned; duties, responsibilities and/or activities may change or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice

Complies with all Key Bank policies and procedures, including without limitation, acting professionally at all times, conducting business ethically, avoiding conflicts of interest, and acting in the best interests of Key’s clients and Key.

Education Bachelor's Degree in business-related field (preferred)
General knowledge and understanding of fiduciary, financial and/or investment products and servicesOR equivalent experience (required)
Work ExperienceA minimum of 3 years experience working within the financial industry or other client service roles. (required)
Licenses and Certifications Progress towards, or completion of, Cannon Trust Schools I, II and III or equivalent knowledge from other industry training, or equivalent knowledge from fiduciary training or equivalent experience (preferred)
Skills Managing and recording financial transactions related to trust assets in compliance with legal and fiduciary standards.

Understanding and applying laws and regulations related to taxation for individuals, trusts, and organizations.

Overseeing the management and distribution of trust assets according to legal documents and fiduciary responsibilities.

Executing duties with integrity and loyalty in managing assets or interests on behalf of another party.

Understanding the legal framework governing the creation, administration, and termination of trusts.

Leading, motivating, and developing teams to achieve organizational objectives effectively.

Taking responsibility for decisions, actions, and outcomes in professional and fiduciary roles.

Physical Demands General Office - Prolonged sitting, ability to communicate face to face in person or on the phone with teammates and clients, frequent use of PC/laptop, occasional lifting/pushing/pulling of backpacks, computer bags up to 10 lbs.
