Role Summary
Tech Content Writer (Onshore) – Key Bank. Junior–mid‑level Technical Content Writer to support API and microservices documentation efforts within an Agile product team. On‑site in an approved hub location, collaborating with the Lead Tech Content Writer, Product Owners, and API engineering teams. This is a 1‑year contract with potential extension, likely processed through Workspan.
Core Responsibilities- Create and maintain API documentation and technical content for new and existing features, and document microservices, integrations, and product features using Confluence or similar documentation platforms.
- Participate as a full member of an Agile scrum team, receiving user stories/tasks and delivering documentation aligned with sprint cycles.
- Collaborate regularly with the Lead Tech Content Writer for reviews, quality checks, and alignment on documentation standards.
- Work independently on assigned tasks but present deliverables for stakeholder review.
- Support API‑focused product initiatives and ensure documentation is accurate, clear, and usable for internal teams and consumers.
- Hands‑on API documentation experience (non‑negotiable). Must already understand what APIs do.
- Experience documenting microservices.
- Experience using Confluence or similar documentation tools.
- Ability to work in an Agile environment and follow defined processes.
- Strong written communication skills and comfort integrating with business and technical teams.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience (junior to mid‑level).
- Banking or financial industry experience is helpful but not required.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience (junior to mid‑level).
- Not looking for a senior or lead role — there is already a Lead Tech Content Writer in place.
