Job SummaryWe’re seeking a Test Data Management Engineer / SDET to support QA/testing teams by fulfilling data mining requests, provisioning and maintaining test data across environments, and building automated solutions to improve speed, accuracy, and repeatability. This role requires strong SQL and API testing skills, plus experience supporting complex test environments. Exposure to mainframe systems and hands‑on automation is a strong plus.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Complete data mining requests to identify, extract, and validate test data needed by project teams.
- Create, provision, refresh, and maintain test data across multiple environments.
- Build/enhance automated solutions to streamline test data setup, delivery, and reuse.
- Write and troubleshoot SQL queries for analysis, validation, and issue resolution.
- Perform API testing and validate services that create, update, or consume test data.
- Partner with testers, developers, and stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver solutions.
- Support root cause analysis and resolution of data issues impacting delivery timelines.
- Identify use cases for test data automation and document reusable processes/best practices.
- Experience supporting test data needs for QA/testing teams.
- Experience with databases such as Oracle, DB2, Postgres, Big Query, SQL Server (or similar).
- Hands‑on API testing experience (Postman, SoapUI, or similar).
- Ability to manage competing data requests across multiple test environments.
- Strong problem‑solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Exposure to mainframe applications/data structures/testing processes.
- Automation framework or scripting experience supporting test data creation/validation.
- Familiarity with test data management tools.
- Experience in large enterprise and/or regulated environments with complex dependencies.
- Understanding of data masking, data virtualization, data sub‑setting, and/or synthetic data creation.
- Unix/Linux command line experience; exposure to Docker/containerized environments.
