Job SummaryWe are looking for an experienced Scrum Master to join a cross-functional agile team in a contract capacity. The ideal candidate is a passionate agile advocate who can lead scrum ceremonies, surface and resolve sprint impediments, and act as a change agent driving agile adoption across teams. This is a fully onsite role based in Brooklyn, OH.
Key Responsibilities- Act as a Change Agent with a passion for supporting teams to transform their behaviors toward an agile environment.
- Facilitate Scrum processes and ceremonies, enabling team maturity and effectiveness through data-driven metrics.
- Foster an agile mindset centered on transparency, inspection, and adaptation to deliver high-value increments meeting the Definition of Done.
- Enable teams to develop sprint goals, robust product backlogs, acceptance criteria, and definitions of done and ready.
- Facilitate program-level agile ceremonies including dependency mapping, release planning, and scope alignment across product teams.
- Identify and remove impediments to the Scrum Team’s progress.
- Facilitate communication and partnership inside and outside the team, including stakeholder engagement.
- Protect the team from distractions to maintain focus on sprint and program commitments.
- Promote self-organization and cross-functionality, coaching each role to enable high team performance.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience required.
Experience: 6+ years working in an agile environment as a development team member, Scrum Master, or Product Owner; 5+ years specifically as a Scrum Master.
Skills: Expert facilitation, problem-solving, and outcome‑influencing skills. Expert knowledge of value‑driven development best practices (requirements management, prototyping, hypothesis‑driven development, usability testing).
Tools: Expert proficiency in agile tool suites including Atlassian (Jira and Confluence), MS Teams, , or similar agile management platforms.
Other: This is a fully onsite position. Candidates must be able to work on‑site at the Brooklyn, OH location.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience as a Project Manager in a waterfall environment; familiarity with both agile and waterfall methodologies is a plus.
- Demonstrated experience supporting large-scale enterprise agile transformation.
- Prior experience as a Scrum Master in a scaled agile environment (e.g., SAFe, LeSS).
