Senior Data Analyst

Job Summary

The Data & Business Intelligence Senior Associate plays a key role in supporting Key Bank's federated analytics model by enhancing the data experience across the enterprise. This role is responsible for maintaining and optimizing analytic data marts, ensuring data integrity, and supporting the development of trusted data assets. The Senior Associate will work cross‑functionally with analytics, operations, and technology teams to solve business problems, improve data quality, and promote best practices in data usage.

• Maintain and enhance Key Bank’s Google Cloud-based Analytics Marts, including Star Marts and Client Analytics Marts (CAM).
• Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for assigned data domains and marts.
• Support enterprise data quality efforts, including testing, validation, and documentation.
• Analyze large and small datasets to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement.
• Collaborate onsite with operations and support teams to address tool functionality and capability gaps.
• Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure high-quality releases and user experiences.
• Engage with the analytics community to promote data literacy, identify issues, and drive solutions.
• Translate business needs into technical requirements and provide consulting on data usage.
• Partner with the Data Literacy team to integrate data concepts with lineage, cataloging, and governance.
• Provide thought leadership on the evolution of enterprise analytics and data strategy.
• Support resolution of data incidents in collaboration onsite with LOB and technology partners.
• Mentor and coach junior team members on best practices and emerging tools.
• Ensure alignment of data solutions with Key Bank’s technology roadmap and governance standards.

• Bachelor's Degree in Data Analytics, Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, MIS, Statistics, or a related field (preferred).
• Master's Degree or equivalent experience (preferred).

• 5+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or data product management (preferred).
• Proficient in working with Google Cloud Platforms (preferred).
• Experience with enterprise data environments and federated analytics models (preferred).

• Training or certification in SQL, Python, or cloud platforms (preferred).
• Familiarity with data governance, data cataloging, and data lineage tools (preferred).

• Examine, organize, and interpret data to uncover patterns, trends, and insights that support business decision‑making.
• Write and execute structured queries using languages like SQL to retrieve, manipulate, and analyze data from databases.
• Create clear and effective visual representations of data, such as charts, graphs, and dashboards.
• Apply tools, systems, and practices to transform raw data into meaningful insights that inform strategic and operational decisions.
• Apply policies, standards, and practices to ensure data quality, integrity, security, and compliance across the organization.
• Design logical and physical data structures that define how data is stored, related, and accessed within systems.
• Develop recurring and ad‑hoc reports that summarize data findings and provide actionable insights to business stakeholders.
• Logically evaluate data, identify relationships, and draw conclusions to solve problems and support decision‑making.
• Understand and prioritize the needs of internal and external clients when developing data solutions and delivering insights.
• Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of data‑related projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business goals.
