Genesis
10 is currently seeking a Scrum Master for a contract position with a Major Financial Institution located in Brooklyn, OH. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity. Pay range: $70.00 per hour

The Scrum Master plays a meaningful role in delivering high-quality modern software solutions as part of a cross‑functional agile scrum team. This role will be accountable for acting as a leader to the scrum team, surfacing and resolving team‑level sprint risks and roadblocks while facilitating scrum ceremonies. This role will also act as a change agent, evangelizing the tenets of agile and scrum across the client's Technology, Operations and Service initiatives.

Responsibilities:
  • Act as a Change Agent with a passion for supporting teams to transform their behaviors toward an agile environment
  • Facilitate Scrum processes and events enabling team maturity and effectiveness leveraging data driven metrics
  • Create an agile mindset with focus on agile value and principles leading with transparency, inspection, and adaptation resulting in delivery of high value increments which meet the Definition of Done
  • Enable teams to develop sprint goals, robust product backlogs, acceptance criteria, definitions of done / ready
  • Facilitate program level agile ceremonies to include dependency mapping, release planning and scope alignment across Product teams
  • Enable the removal of impediments to the Scrum Team's progress
  • Facilitate communication and partnership inside and outside the team to include stakeholder engagement
  • Protect the team from distractions allowing for focus to meet sprint and program commitments
  • Promote self‑organization and cross‑functionality of the team coaching each role to enable high performance of the team
Requirements:
  • Bachelor Degree or equivalent work experience
  • 6+ years working in an agile environment as a development team member, Scrum Master or Product Owner
  • 5+ years working as a Scrum Master
  • Expert in facilitation, problem solving and influencing outcomes
  • Expert knowledge of best practices in value driven development (requirements management, prototyping, hypothesis driven development, usability testing)
  • Expert knowledge of agile tool suites including Atlassian (Jira and Confluence), MS Teams,  or similar agile management tools
Desired skills:
  • Experience as a Project Manager in a waterfall environment. Familiarity with both agile and waterfall is a bonus
  • Demonstrated experience with large‑scale enterprise agile transformation with experience as a Scrum Master in a scaled environment
