Job Description & How to Apply Below
Step onto 2nd shift and own the cutYou arrive, review the job ticket, and ready the die-cutter. The previous setup is dismantled and documented: you log impressions on saved jobs with date, press and chase number, and dispose of dies as marked. A quick sample pull and glue set verify accuracy against specifications. Throughout the run, you watch for precision in cutting, scoring, and creasing, making on-the-fly adjustments to keep quality perfect.

That’s a typical rhythm on our 2nd shift for a Die-Cutting pro at Oliver Inc. With more than 250 years of history, multiple facilities, and state-of-the-art, sustainability‑minded technology, we deliver speed, consistency, and nimbleness as a one‑stop partner for printing and packaging. We’re passionate about great work, respectful collaboration, and serving customers with creative solutions that build their brands.

What you’ll handle

Break down prior jobs; record impressions and job details; dispose of dies per markings; pull samples and glue sets to confirm accuracy to spec.

Continuously monitor product quality; correct issues quickly to ensure total in‑run quality.

Perform preventive maintenance and minor repairs to keep equipment running optimally.

Work safely, efficiently, and collaboratively in a fast‑paced team environment.

Hands‑on skill with steel rule dies, counter plates, make‑ready materials, and stripping/blanking tooling.

Knowledge of paperboard substrates (SBS, CCNB, Kraft, etc.) and their impact on cutting, scoring, and creasing.

Ability to read and interpret job tickets, CAD layouts, dielines, and quality specs; proven make‑ready accuracy with minimal supervision.

Mechanical aptitude with strong troubleshooting of die‑cutting equipment; familiarity with Bobst, Heidelberg, or similar equipment preferred.

Solid math and measurement skills for tight tolerances; excellent attention to detail and quality.

Capacity to lift 50+ lbs, stand for extended periods, and thrive in a manufacturing setting.

A positive, team‑first mindset and strong work ethic.

Schedule and rewards

Shift: 2ndCompetitive pay, including a 2nd‑shift differential, plus a comprehensive benefits package.

Culture built on growth, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
