Job Description
Today, Western continues to grow with more than 80 employees fulfilling specialty functions such as engineering, quality, inspection, and production. We use proprietary technology to forge some of the hardest, most difficult alloys on the market into 100% quality-controlled flanges. Every product undergoes a rigorous, sophisticated monitoring and quality assurance program, from heat treatment to testing to the final inspection. Additionally, Western is in full compliance with outlined ASME, PED, ISO, and TSSA standards, a distinction held by only a handful of forging providers in the United States.
A Heat Treat Technician Helper performs heat treating per specifications outlined on work order, i.e., pre-heat, post-heat stress relieve, normalize, temper or anneal.
Responsibilities- Operate all furnaces
- Keep accurate records and furnace charts
- Perform hardness testing to verify compliance to work order requirement
- Organize “heat treat lots” of material based on time & temperature requirements
- Must be able to operate a forklift and lifting devices
- Must be able to communicate in English (both written and oral) as it relates to the job
- Must be able to read and understand work orders, drawings, and other written instructions
- Forklift Operator experience is desired
- High School Diploma
