• Acknowledge members, identify their needs, assist with purchasing decisions, locate merchandise, resolve issues and promote company products and services.
• Maintain merchandise presentation: stock items, clean and organize displays, remove damaged goods, sign and price merchandise, secure fragile and shrink merchandise.
• Manage the optical area sales floor: handle claims and returns, zone the area, arrange and organize merchandise, and identify shrink and damage.
• Receive and stock merchandise in the optical area, maintain logs and other required documentation.
• Operate hardware such as cash registers, process member purchases, assist with payments, returns, refunds and exchanges following appropriate procedures.
• Sell optical products and services: assist members with purchasing decisions, measure, adjust and repair frames and lenses, complete eyewear and contact lens orders, verify prescription information, maintain paperwork, collect payments for doctor services, and perform and record optometric pretests.
