Job Summary

Drives business development activities to generate new sales opportunities, expand market presence, and support enrollment growth. Builds and manages relationships with brokers, consultants, and prospective clients while leveraging market insights, data, and cross‑functional partnerships to deliver revenue and retention outcomes aligned with organizational objectives.

Location and Schedule

Hybrid role based in Brooklyn, OH, requiring three days per week on‑site.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain relationships within the business and broker communities that support and nurture growth, ensuring a strong pipeline of new business opportunities through direct and/or indirect customer contact prospecting including current and prospective customer research.
  • Oversee the creation and implementation of group‑specific campaigns based on data‑driven insights from broker and client feedback and market research that align with business strategies aimed at lost bids, former clients and new business to build increased enrollment and revenue.
  • Develop the consistent framework for and lead meetings with external audiences that showcase the company's capabilities.
  • Research prospective clients, decision makers, and contacts.
  • Assign new groups to appropriate Account Executive and review existing assignments to provide optimal service to groups.
  • Partners and mentors Group Onboarding Specialists to help ensure successful onboarding of new groups.
  • Fully leverage the CRM and all available data to create analysis for multiple business areas to better understand challenges for win‑back and retention efforts.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Education and Experience
  • 7 years' experience in business development, sales, or growth marketing, preferably in health insurance.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business or equivalent field.
  • Equivalent education and experience directly related to the role may substitute for a degree.
Professional Certification(s)
  • Ohio Health and Life Insurance License preferred.
Technical Skills and Knowledge
  • Strong relationship management and consultative skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to identify opportunities and drive business growth.
  • Ability to manage multiple simultaneous outreach campaigns across different segments and geographies.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics; experience integrating outreach tools with CRM workflows.
  • Knowledge of health insurance products, funding arrangements, and industry dynamics.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex concepts into client‑focused solutions.
