Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general labor duties for telecommunications construction projects
- Assist with directional drilling, excavation, trenching, pipe placement, back filling, and site restoration
- Support installation of conduit, duct, cable, and pedestals
- Perform potholing and hand digging around existing utilities
- Set up and break down job sites daily, including equipment and materials
- Direct and control traffic safely in active work zones (flagging)
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site at all times
- Ensure proper handling and accountability of tools, equipment, and materials
- Complete daily equipment safety inspections and maintenance checks
- Accurately complete all required company documentation for each assignment according to established company standards and procedures
- Perform work in a safe manner and comply with all established safety policies and procedures
- Reconcile all issued parts and materials on a daily basis to ensure accurate material usage counts.
- Work efficiently to complete tasks on schedule in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborate with crew members and support field operations as needed
- Willingness to work shifts as assigned, including daily overtime when necessary.
Qualifications:
- Experience in general construction, including flagging, landscaping, and/or concrete restoration
- Telecommunications or directional drilling experience preferred
- Ability to safely direct traffic and maintain secure work zones
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to dig, lift, climb, bend, crawl, and stand for extended periods
- Ability to work in various weather conditions and outdoor environments
- Strong work ethic with reliability, punctuality, and accountability
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Effective communication skills when interacting with coworkers, customers, and homeowners
- Valid driver's license required;
Class A CDL preferred - Ability to pass drug screening and background check
