- Directly supervises one or more electricians in the Operations Department.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with policies and laws.
- Interview, hire, and train employees; plan, assign, and direct work; appraise performance; reward; discipline; address complaints.
- Plan wiring and installation of equipment and fixtures such as motors, generators, switches, circuit breakers, and fuse boxes.
- Ensure wiring and fixtures conform to company specifications and local electrical codes.
- Ensure OSHA compliance on all electrical work.
- Study production schedules and estimate worker hour requirements for job assignments.
- Interpret company policies, specifications, blueprints, and job orders; assign duties.
- Establish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules.
- Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality.
- Suggest changes in working conditions and equipment use to increase efficiency.
- Analyze and resolve work problems or assist workers in solving problems.
- Initiate or suggest plans to motivate workers to achieve goals.
- Maintain time and production records; estimate, requisition, and inspect materials.
- Coordinate activities with other supervisors.
- Set up machines and equipment.
- Perform activities of supervised workers.
- Trade school degree minimum; college degree preferred.
- 5 years’ experience in electrical or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Master Electrician or Special Electrician License required.
- Knowledge of national electrical codes.
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations.
- Excellent organization and prioritization skills.
- Strong problem‑solving skills.
- Good written, verbal, and interpersonal skills; ability to interact with all levels of staff.
- Effective supervision capabilities.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Professional presentation, appearance, and work ethic.
- Basic computer knowledge.
