About the Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and other education professionals to support pupils' learning, development, and well-being. You will be integral in promoting independence, self-esteem, and inclusion within the classroom and school community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide targeted support to pupils to help them access the curriculum and reach learning milestones.
  • Assist in implementing individual education and behaviour plans.
  • Foster positive relationships with children, promoting engagement and self-confidence.
  • Collaborate with teachers to deliver enriching and inclusive learning experiences.
  • Support behaviour management strategies and help maintain a safe, respectful environment.
  • Liaise with parents, carers, and external agencies to support children’s progress.
  • Embrace safeguarding and promote the welfare of all students.

Qualifications & Experience Essential
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to relate well to children and adults.
  • A positive approach to learning and development.
Desirable
  • GCSE English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above).
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g. NVQ3, HND, degree).
  • Experience in a school or education setting.
  • Working knowledge of the national curriculum and supporting SEN pupils.
