Role Description

The Administrative Assistant Bookkeeper will support daily office and bookkeeping operations for 5 Star Bookkeeping Service. This part-time, on-site role is based in Brooksville, FL and involves handling routine administrative tasks such as answering phones, organizing files, scheduling appointments, and managing correspondence. The role also includes assisting with accounts payable and receivable, data entry into accounting software, preparing and organizing invoices, and supporting bank reconciliations and basic financial reporting.

The Administrative Assistant Bookkeeper will maintain accurate records, follow established procedures, and help ensure that client information is kept organized and confidential. This position works closely with the owner to support multiple client accounts and meet deadlines.

Qualifications
  • Strong bookkeeping and finance skills, including experience with Financial Statements, Bookkeeping, and basic Finance concepts.
  • Proficiency with Accounting Software and ability to record and review Journal Entries (Accounting) accurately.
  • Previous experience in an administrative or office support role, with strong organizational and time-management abilities.
  • High attention to detail, accuracy in data entry, and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Comfort working on-site with paper and digital files, maintaining confidentiality and professional client communication.
  • Familiarity with Quick Books or similar platforms is preferred;
    Quick Books certification is a plus.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework in bookkeeping, accounting, or business is beneficial.
