Job Summary
Construction Superintendent Trainee (CST) – entry‑level leadership development position within Maine Drilling & Blasting.
Salary & BenefitsBase salary: $59,800 plus vehicle and fuel allowance.
Target incentives up to an additional $200 per week.
Benefits include a company‑matched 401(k), health, dental, vision, life and disability coverage, and an employer‑contributed Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP).
Key Responsibilities- Safety and compliance related to drilling and blasting operations.
- All aspects of drilling in construction and quarry environments.
- Develop skills to become a state‑licensed blaster.
- Procurement and logistics for drilling and blasting activities (materials, supplies, equipment).
- Support quality control efforts that influence project profitability.
- Assist with project budgets and standards.
- Project supervision and leadership.
Program includes a Leadership Development Program with mentorship, an established development plan, and opportunities for growth within the company.
Requirements- Recent college graduate with a degree in Construction, Engineering, Mining, or a related field; or recently separated military service.
- Willingness to travel within a multi‑state area (meals and hotels covered).
- Manual labor experience: drilling and blasting; enthusiasm for physically demanding work.
- Adaptability to work in varied terrain and weather conditions.
- Strong communication skills, competitive mindset, ability to build teams through influence, and a commitment to safety and excellence.
- Associate or higher degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Associate or higher degree in Construction Engineering or related field.
- Associate or higher degree in Construction Management Services or related field.
