Required Qualifications- Bachelor's degree with appropriate teaching certification from the State of Florida, Department of Education
- Ability to establish rapport with the students and families
- Ability to apply appropriate knowledge and skill Performance
- Teach and/or remediate students with appropriate curriculum
- Assess goals as defined in the Individual Education Plan (IEP)
- Coordinate and provide grades to the appropriate personnel at the school site for which the student is enrolled
- Develop an Individual Education Plan based upon a student's needs
- Coordinate with the teacher(s) of the student and the school to develop lesson plans and acquire appropriate text/materials
- Provide the school site and the Exceptional Student Education office with the required documentation
- Continue professional growth through educational meetings, workshops and reading professional literature
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the Director of Exceptional Student Education, principal and/or designee
