Position Overview
The PLC Programmer is responsible for designing, programming, modifying, and troubleshooting PLC and HMI systems, as well as designing electrical schematics and building electrical control panels. This role applies electrical engineering principles to develop, test, install, and maintain electrical control systems and equipment used in industrial and commercial manufacturing environments.
Key Responsibilities- Program, modify, and troubleshoot PLC and HMI systems
- Design and update electrical schematics using AutoCAD
- Build, install, and commission electrical control panels
- Troubleshoot automation and electrical systems at the component level
- Support electrical issues before, during, and after installation
- Perform system testing, commissioning, and documentation
- Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional teams
- Prepare project time and cost estimates
- PLC programming experience in a manufacturing environment
- AutoCAD electrical design experience
- Electrical panel build and installation experience
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Experience with servo drives, actuators, encoders, and sensors
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
