We are seeking an experienced Staff Electrical Engineer to support the design, integration, testing, and sustainment of aerospace electrical systems and aircraft modifications. This role will work across the full product lifecycle, from conceptual design through installation, certification, and flight test support.
Key Responsibilities- Design and integrate aircraft electrical systems, wiring interconnects, harnesses, schematics, and electrical assemblies.
- Develop and review electrical drawings using CAD tools such as AutoCAD.
- Perform electrical system analysis, component selection, load analysis, reliability assessments, and failure mode evaluations.
- Create and execute test plans, qualification testing, and validation activities.
- Prepare technical documentation, engineering reports, and airworthiness compliance packages.
- Troubleshoot electrical and electromechanical systems and support manufacturing, installation, and maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering, manufacturing, and customer teams.
- Provide installation, training, and testing support at customer locations as needed.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- 15+ years of aerospace electrical systems design and integration experience.
- Extensive experience creating wiring schematics, wiring interconnect diagrams, and harness drawings using approved CAD software.
- 10+ years of electrical design experience with tools such as AutoCAD.
- Strong knowledge of aerospace wiring practices, EMI/EMC requirements, environmental standards, and aerospace connectors.
- Experience with avionics, sensors, RF systems, radar, or other complex aerospace electrical systems.
- Experience performing electrical load analyses, test planning, and FMEA/FMECA activities.
- Strong technical writing, communication, and documentation skills.
- Familiarity with aircraft certification and airworthiness requirements.
- Experience using electrical test equipment such as oscilloscopes, meters, and data acquisition systems.
- Knowledge of aerospace drafting standards and engineering drawing practices.
- Experience with military and commercial aerospace environmental and EMI/EMC test standards.
- Familiarity with aerospace wiring installation standards and best practices.
- Experience with RF systems, antenna integration, EMI/EMC analysis, and co-site performance analysis.
- Experience with aircraft communication and data interfaces including RS-232, RS-422, Ethernet, and MIL-STD-1553.
- Knowledge of FAA and/or military aircraft certification processes.
- Leadership experience required.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills are essential.
- Ability to travel in support of installation, testing, and customer programs.
