Position Overview
As a Pool Attendant, you are a member of the Cabot Food & Beverage team responsible for delivering attentive, personalized poolside service while creating a welcoming and relaxing experience for our guests.
In this role, you will provide full food and beverage service to guests at the pool, including presenting menus, taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining an attentive presence throughout the guest experience. You will also welcome arriving guests, assist with setting up chairs and loungers, provide towels, and help ensure the pool deck remains organized and ready for guest use.
You will work closely with Housekeeping, which is responsible for the scheduled cleaning and servicing of the pool's restroom, shower, and public areas, as well as replenishing towel supplies. As a consistent presence at the pool, you will communicate with Housekeeping when towels are running low or when restrooms, showers, or other public areas require attention before the next scheduled service.
Your hospitality, attentiveness, and ability to anticipate guest needs will help create a seamless poolside experience that reflects Cabot's high standards for food, beverage, and guest service.
Key Responsibilities
- Warmly greet and welcome guests arriving at the pool and assist them with selecting and setting up chairs or loungers.
- Provide fresh towels and assist with umbrellas and other poolside amenities as needed.
- Present food and beverage menus, explain menu offerings, answer questions, and make recommendations.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders from pool guests.
- Serve food and beverages to pool guests.
- Check back with guests throughout their visit, anticipate additional needs, and provide attentive service without being intrusive.
- Process guest checks and payments accurately in accordance with established procedures.
- Maintain appropriate knowledge of food and beverage offerings, ingredients, preparation methods, and applicable dietary or allergen information.
- Follow all applicable alcohol service policies and procedures, including responsible alcohol service requirements.
- Clear food and beverage service items from tables and poolside seating areas and reset areas for arriving guests.
- Straighten and reset pool chairs, loungers, umbrellas, and tables between guests to maintain an organized and inviting pool environment.
- Maintain an adequate supply of towels for guests and notify Housekeeping when towel inventory is running low and replenishment is needed.
- Monitor the general condition of the pool area and notify Housekeeping when restrooms, showers, or surrounding public areas require cleaning or attention before the next scheduled housekeeping rotation.
