Job Number: 2500041YThe Maintenance Technician 2 performs general maintenance functions for the main hospital, free standing emergency department and clinics. The Maintenance Technician 2 is responsible for performing skilled and advanced maintenance duties to ensure the proper functioning of hospital building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, medical gas systems, and general facilities equipment. This position involves more complex maintenance tasks compared to an entry-level technician, as well as supervising and mentoring Maintenance Technician 1 staff.
The technician will troubleshoot, repair, and maintain systems to minimize downtime and ensure a safe, efficient, and comfortable environment for hospital patients, staff, and visitors. Must be able to be on standby call as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED
- FL Drivers License
- Requires minimum of 3 years facility maintenance/hospital experience
