ResponsibilitiesThe 3p-11p Nursing Supervisor will supervise the day‑to‑day nursing activities of the facility during the assigned tour of duty in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern the facility, and as may be required by the Director of Nursing, to ensure the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times.
Qualifications- Current and active RN license in good standing in the applicable state.
- Current CPR certification.
- Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Previous experience in a hospital, long‑term care, or other healthcare facility.
- Knowledge of general, rehabilitative, and restorative nursing and medical practices, procedures, laws, regulations, and guidelines governing long‑term care facilities.
- Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age‑related needs of residents.
- Supportive team member who contributes to and exemplifies teamwork.
- Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
- Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies, and the general public.
- Leadership and supervisory ability; willing to work harmoniously with and supervise other personnel.
- Ability to plan, organize, develop, implement, and interpret programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures necessary for providing quality care.
- Patience, tact, cheerful disposition, and enthusiasm, and willingness to handle difficult residents.
- Willingness to seek out new methods and principles and incorporate them into nursing practices.
- Ability to communicate information concerning a resident's condition.
- Nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
- At least one (1) year of experience as a supervisor in a hospital, nursing care facility, or other related health care facility.
- Training in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices.
- Current CPR certification.
This position requires background screening through the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse.
