Role Summary: Hands-on leader embedding quality from suppliers to shipping. Own QMS, achieve/maintain ISO 9001 certification, perform floor observations (e.g., pulling non-conforming products), support NCR/RCA, generate improvement ideas, and manage a QC team. Full authority on quality decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead/train QC Technicians; backup with lab testing.
- Manage NCRs, RCA (5 Whys/Fishbone), CAPAs; analyze trends.
- Propose innovative quality checks for production/shipping.
- Enforce cross-functional quality (Supply Chain to Customer Service).
- Lead customer investigations; track KPIs like NCR reductions.
Requirements:
- 3+ years quality management in manufacturing/chemicals.
- People leadership; problem-solving with Lean tools preferred.
- GMP/SOP knowledge;
Excel/digital systems. - Lab testing experience a plus—willingness to learn essential.
- Comfort in plant/lab environments (lift 50 lbs, PPE required).
