Overview
Float Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) role in the Med-Trans fleet. This is a full-time position with locations in Jacksonville, Brooksville and Lady Lake, FL. The role supports EC135 and Bell 407 airframes and focuses on maintenance and safety of the fleet to ensure timely, high-quality transportation services.
Compensation and Benefits- Starting Salary: $65,239 - $94,567 annually
- Float Stipend: 12,500
- IA Stipend: 2,080
- Sign-On Bonus: 12,500
- Perform maintenance services including mechanical inspections, screening, repairs and provide regular statuses to the Lead Technician.
- Manage inventory checks to ensure stock of supplies and equipment, regularly update the equipment tracking log, place replacement requests when necessary and document part expenditures.
- Clearly document service paperwork and FAA information as required and adhere to policies and procedures while complying with the company’s information security standards.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment for the aircraft maintenance team and flight crew.
- Use effective communication to coordinate efforts between departments, vendors and team members.
- Collaborate professionally with allied health and public safety personnel as well as fellow AMTs and the operations team.
Required Qualifications
- EC135 and Bell 407 Maintenance experience
- Three (3) years of turbine helicopter maintenance experience with a minimum of six months of helicopter maintenance experience within the last 24 months
- Valid Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license
- Valid state-issued Driver's license
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Federal Aviation Regulations knowledge
- EMS systems, aircraft maintenance systems, records and maintenance support and planning
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including overtime and 24/7 on-call rotations
- Must be acceptable under the FAA drug and alcohol testing program
- Must be able to push/pull 100+ lbs and lift/carry up to 50 lbs
- FAA Inspection Authorization Certification
- Related experience under CFR Part 135
- Autopilot maintenance experience
- Avionics and electrical repair experience
