Senior Assistant Director, Admissions

The Senior Assistant Director, Admissions, will possess knowledge of effective and innovative recruiting methods consistent with the College's overall enrollment strategy and skills to implement a comprehensive recruitment plan. The Senior Assistant Director, Admissions supports the recruitment and enrollment of traditional, post-traditional and dual enrollment students entering the College and establishes and maintains relationships with high school partners (e.g., principals, guidance counselors), internal partners (e.g., faculty, Academic Deans), community-based organizations and other identified organizations within a specific territory to recruit and enroll new and readmitted students.

This position will serve as the lead admissions representative for Chester County and will utilize available data to identify target groups of prospects and identify trends in enrollment to influence positive outcomes. Under the guidance of the Director of Admissions and in alignment with the strategic vision and enrollment priorities of the College and the Division, the Senior Assistant Director assigned to Chester County will work collaboratively with Chester County Branch location(s) to co-lead admissions-related events and initiatives.

The Senior Assistant Director will also coordinate and oversee the recruitment efforts for special initiatives within Chester County. This position will use the College's CRM and other technologies to track and communicate to prospective and admitted students through the enrollment funnel. Travel to various Delaware, Chester and Philadelphia County locations to visit school locations, attend events, meetings, programs, and community organizations.

Flexibility to work nontraditional hours, including evenings and weekends, is required. Position is open until filled.

Essential Functions
  • Recruit traditional, post-traditional, special populations, and dual enrollment students to attend the College.
  • Participate in day, evening and weekend recruitment programs for the purpose of generating interest in the College through in-person and online presentations and the distribution of timely information.
  • Enhance prospects, admitted students and parents/guardians understanding of the College's enrollment processes, including next steps (e.g., orientation, course placement, academic advising), College technology, payment methods (payment plans, payment due dates), timely completion of financial aid applications and the importance of meeting deadlines.
  • Ensure that prospective students are scheduled for placement testing and advising appointments and have completed their FAFSA and orientation.
  • Contact students who have filled out an application but have yet to register for the following semester to assist with registration process.
  • Coordinate and conduct on-campus tours for potential prospects and applicants including individuals, families, high schools, and community groups.
  • Work closely with designated high school counselors and staff at community based and other identified organizations in a specific territory to recruit students and assist them with the admissions and financial aid application processes.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of recruitment plans to attract diverse student populations.
  • Use the College's CRM and other technologies to track students through the enrollment funnel and create and implement robust communication to prospective and admitted students, high school partners and community organizations.
  • Contribute to the Admissions Department in other initiatives and activities, as necessary.
  • Work closely with high school principals, high school counselors and branch campus administrators for the development and management of current and future dual enrollment programs.
  • Use data to monitor effectiveness, measure outcomes, and adapt process, procedures, and activities accordingly.
  • Recruit and assist students participating in dual enrollment to transition from high school to the College by connecting them with the appropriate college services.
  • Utilize the CRM to evaluate yield or conversion rates from inquiry, applicant to enrollment stage.
  • Accomplish targeted goals specific to assigned county as well as Admissions goals.
  • Prepare weekly reports highlighting recruitment outcomes.
  • Assist with admissions social media campaigns.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Experience and Education

    Minimum Experience:

    3+ years of demonstrated successful college recruiting and admissions experience

    Minimum Education:

    Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited college or university in a related field of study or equivalent combination of experience and education.

    Certification/Licensure:
    Valid Motor Vehicle Drivers' License Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
