Role Overview
The Campus Infrastructure Technician supports onsite network infrastructure operations at the Newtown Square, PA campus locations. The role focuses on hardware installation, structured cabling, IMACD activities, and basic troubleshooting of network connectivity issues.
Working closely with the Regional Operations Manager, and network engineering teams from our Global Operations team, the technician ensures that the physical network infrastructure is properly installed, maintained, and documented.
Key Responsibilities
· Install and connect network hardware including switches, routers, patch panels, and wireless access points.
· Perform rack and stack activities, patching, and structured cabling installations within campus facilities.
· Execute IMACD requests such as device installations, relocations, cabling adjustments, and hardware removals.
· Perform basic troubleshooting of cabling and connectivity issues and escalate complex incidents when necessary.
· Ensure proper labeling, routing, and documentation of cable installations according to operational standards.
· Support maintenance of the campus cable plant infrastructure and perform periodic cable inspections.
· Assist with inventory handling including receiving, organizing, and tracking network consumables and hardware.
· Maintain accurate records in ticketing systems and asset management tools.
Skills & Experience
· Experience working with structured cabling, telecommunications infrastructure, or network hardware installation.
· Knowledge of copper and fiber cabling standards and installation practices.
· Basic understanding of networking and connectivity troubleshooting.
· Ability to work in technical infrastructure environments including communication rooms and cable pathways.
· Strong attention to detail and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
· Fluent English required.
