Development Manager

SAP America, Inc. seeks a Development Manager at our Newtown Square, PA location responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of modules or features of a product. Manage, advance, and build high performing individuals and teams concerning engineering and social aspects. Hire, foster motivation, integrate employees, as well as team learning and development. Actively address and resolve team issues. Provide application implementation services typically within the boundaries of specifications and project plans.

Design activities include requirements analysis and design documentation. Implementation activities include implementation, testing and integration. Maintenance activities include error analysis and removal. Extend, modify, or adapt existing designs may also be involved in the development of new (sub-)systems. Offer feedback and set development goals. Drive and actively participate in the Continuous Improvement Process (CIP). Actively drive Customer Collaboration aligned with PO.

Contribute as a management stakeholder to sustainable and high-quality components that can easily be integrated into a product. Proactively act to understand business needs and offer solutions that align across business units. Responsible for implementing strategic action plans and make operational decisions on policies, tactics, and resources critical to the function's business success. Ensure strategy roll-out into own team/organization.

Education and Occupational

Experience:

Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Engineering or a related field of study and seven (7) years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or related occupation. Alternatively, a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Engineering or a related field of study and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation. Qualifications/Skills and Competencies

Experience:

Experience must include five (5) years involving each of the following:
Storage infrastructure operations services including file and block;
Data protection technologies, storage product software, tools, and respective hardware experience on products Net App, Pure, Dell EMC, Brocade, and Cisco;
Protocols knowledge over storage area network and network attached storage;
Participate in de-escalation activities, and experience in Information technology service management that includes handling Incidents, problems, changes, and business process workflows;
Operating systems experience in window and Unix platforms;
Liaison with the vendor, and internal teams on storage design, configuration, risk mitigation procedures, and lifecycle management activities including forecasting as well as demand planning; and Aggregated Knowledge in public and SAP private cloud service including Open Stack modules as well as Dev Ops tools, scripting, and respective automation frameworks.
