SUMMARY:

The VOE Quality Auditor plays a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our team's response to customer verification requests. This is a vital position in maintaining our company's reputation for excellent customer service. Our VOE Quality Auditor will be responsible for carrying out in- depth review of manual verifications and effectively communicating results to our team members. This role focuses specifically on auditing Verification of Employment (VOE) requests to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with internal standards and client requirements prior to final delivery.

This hours for this position are M-F: 12:30pm - 9:00pm EST

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Perform detailed audits of Verification of Employment (VOE) requests, ensuring accuracy of employment data including employer identification, income, tenure, and supporting documentation.
  • Validate that VOE processors followed all required workflows, verification methods, and documentation standards prior to completion.
  • Identify discrepancies, anomalies, or potential quality risks within completed verifications and ensure they are clearly documented and escalated as needed.
  • Ensure all audited files meet internal quality standards and client-specific requirements prior to final delivery.
  • Perform audits within defined turnaround times to support in-line, pre-delivery quality control processes tied to SLA performance.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of employment verification methods (verbal, written, third-party vendors) and associated risk considerations.
  • Ensure adherence to all applicable data privacy, security, and regulatory requirements when handling borrower employment and income information.
  • Conduct and manage the quality review process of completed customer requests and responses.
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of assigned area specific verification procedures.
  • Liaise with team members to provide feedback and quality improvement suggestions.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging quality assurance practices to ensure continuous improvement within the department

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
  • A minimum of a high school diploma is required, associate or bachelor's degree is preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience in mortgage verifications, VOE processing, or quality control/audit functions preferred
  • Prior experience reviewing or completing Verification of Employment (VOE) requests, income validation, or borrower employment documentation strongly preferred
