Accountant / Bookkeeper – Oil & Gas Laboratory

Core Mineralogy Inc. | Broussard, LA
$20–$25/hour | Full-Time

Core Mineralogy Inc. is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Accountant / Bookkeeper to support the accounting and administrative operations of our oil and gas laboratory.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and send customer price quotes
• Manage purchase orders and PO numbers
• Prepare and send customer invoices
• Submit invoices through platforms such as Ariba, Coupa, Open Invoice, and similar systems
• Track payments and follow up on past-due invoices using Quick Books
• Answer phones and communicate professionally with customers
• Enter samples and maintain chain-of-custody documentation
• Assist with general office and administrative duties

Requirements

Candidates must meet one of the following experience/education paths:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance + 1 year of relevant work experience, OR
• 3 years of professional Accountant/Bookkeeper experience if no degree

Additional requirements:

• Quick Books experience required
• Ability to pass a background check
• Ability to pass a drug test
• Strong organizational and attention-to-detail skills
• Professional communication and customer service skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Accounts receivable, bookkeeping, or accounting experience
• Experience with customer procurement and invoicing platforms
• Oil & gas or laboratory experience
