Primary Services is excited to announce the Timekeeper role for our client. This position provides essential support to the payroll department by ensuring accurate and timely entry of employee time records. The Timekeeper will collaborate with supervisors and payroll leadership to maintain data integrity, resolve discrepancies, and support payroll processing within established deadlines. This role offers exposure to payroll systems and processes in a dynamic, highly organized corporate setting.
Responsibilities- Monitor daily employee time entry to ensure timely submission of hours worked.
- Enter employee hours, timecard corrections, and pay code adjustments accurately in the timekeeping system.
- Review timecards for completeness and follow up with supervisors on missing or unapproved entries.
- Maintain accurate records of timekeeping changes and supporting documentation.
- Assist employees and supervisors with basic timekeeping system navigation and procedural questions.
- Escalate unresolved discrepancies, policy questions, or complex pay issues to the Payroll Coordinator.
- Support payroll processing by ensuring timekeeping data is finalized and submitted on schedule.
- Maintain confidentiality of employee payroll and timekeeping information.
- Perform clerical and administrative duties related to timekeeping as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 0–1 year of related experience in timekeeping, payroll support, or administrative support.
- Basic understanding of timekeeping practices.
- Familiarity with payroll or timekeeping systems (e.g., SAP, Workday, Prism
HR, ADP, or similar). - Ability to follow established procedures and meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work in a structured, deadline-driven environment.
