Payroll Clerk / HR Support

Pneumatic & Hydraulic Company is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Clerk / HR Support professional to join our team in Broussard, Louisiana. This position is responsible for processing payroll accurately and confidentially while providing administrative support to the Human Resources department.

Responsibilities
  • Process bi‑weekly payroll accurately and on time
  • Maintain employee payroll records and documentation
  • Calculate payroll deductions, garnishments, and 401(k) contributions
  • Prepare payroll reports and reconcile payroll‑related accounts
  • Research and resolve payroll discrepancies
  • Assist with accounts payable functions as needed
  • Support HR administrative processes and employee record maintenance
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of payroll and employee information
  • Assist with cash flow updates and payroll‑related reporting
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Previous payroll, bookkeeping, accounting, or HR administrative experience preferred
  • Knowledge of payroll laws, payroll processing, and basic accounting principles
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and meet deadlines
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
Schedule
  • Flexible schedule
  • 30-40 hours per week
  • Monday-Friday
  • Additional hours may be required during payroll processing periods
Compensation

$20-$24 per hour, depending on experience
