Senior Engineer - Tubular Running Services

The Global TRS Technical Support Senior Engineer ensures Baker Hughes delivers flawless execution by providing Technical Support to the Service Delivery and Sales organizations when needed in pre-planning, job execution, and post job analysis.

Reports To:

Service Delivery Technical Manager.

• Perform as Subject Matter Expert for Tubular Running Services (TRS).
• Be knowledgeable of industry common TRS related equipment - i.e. tubular handling tools, power tongs, surface equipment, and work processes.
• Support the field technically through different media (online, phone calls and technical papers).
• Handle special projects, iteration, & adaptation as required.
• Ensure compliance with the Manage the Job Cycle (MtJC) process.
• Provide 24/7 Support for Critical Operations in the field, as needed.
• Share the knowledge across the organization by submitting best practices, case histories & lessons learned to the knowledge management database.
• Follow up on field failures that require Technology involvement and ensure that the learning is shared across the field.
• Raise an alert across the Service Delivery organization whenever an unfamiliar technical issue arises on a job.
• Coach other technical resources in their area of expertise.
• Communicate to Engineering and Technology organization on issues and lessons learned related to different technologies.

• Have a Bachelor's degree in science, technology, engineering or mathematics.
• Have 5+ years of experience in TRS engineering.
• Have experience in 3D modeling of oilfield equipment using Solid Works, Auto Cad, Creo, etc.
• Display initiative, be self-driven & flexible.
• Have experience in Hydraulic design and troubleshooting.
• Show strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Have ability to develop and mentor others.
• Availability on call outside of normal business hours.
• Have ability to travel - domestic and internationally.

• TRS operational experience.
• Experience in air/electric controlled mobile hydraulics.
• Ability to learn and use various computer tools to prepare data and visualizations for analysis.
• Ability to work independently.
