We are seeking a skilled Construction Planner/Scheduler to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring project efficiency and effectiveness through meticulous planning and scheduling of construction activities. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong background in industrial projects, particularly in heavy industrial environments.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain comprehensive project schedules, outlining key milestones and deliverables.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineering teams to define project scope, timelines, and resource requirements.
- Create and update detailed construction schedules using software tools such as Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project.
- Monitor project progress and make adjustments to schedules as necessary to ensure timely completion.
- Coordinate with procurement and staffing teams to ensure availability of materials and labor.
- Optimize resource allocation to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.
- Assist in budget development and cost estimation processes.
- Track project expenditures and report on financial performance against budget.
- Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and update project plans accordingly.
- Regularly communicate project status updates to stakeholders, including clients and senior management.
- Facilitate meetings to discuss project schedules, progress, and any emerging issues.
- Ensure all planning and scheduling activities comply with safety standards and corporate classifications.
- Conduct quality checks to ensure that work meets specified standards and requirements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in construction planning and scheduling, preferably within industrial sectors such as pharmaceuticals and oil and gas.
- Proficiency in scheduling software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and quality standards in industrial settings.
- Certification in project management (e.g., PMP or CAPM) is a plus.
