About the Role:
As a Structural Welder in our manufacturing facility, you will play a crucial role in the production process by joining metal components through various welding techniques. Your expertise will ensure that all welded structures meet the highest standards of quality and safety, contributing to the overall integrity of our products. You will work with a variety of materials, and utilize different welding methods.
The successful execution of your tasks will directly impact production efficiency and product durability. Ultimately, your work will help us maintain our reputation for excellence in the manufacturing industry.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Education or GED preferred.
- Work experience as a qualified welder of 1 to 3 years acceptable as equivalent
- Proven experience as a welder.
- Able to pass a 6GR flux core welding procedure.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and work in physically demanding conditions.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with steel fabrication.
- Knowledge of safety standards and practices in a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Rigging
- Operating an overhead shop crane
- Willing to work overtime if needed
- Work well with a team
Skills:
The required skills of Structural welding will be utilized daily as you perform various welding tasks on different materials. Your mechanical inclination will aid in understanding complex blueprints and technical drawings, ensuring accurate execution of welding specifications. Heavy lifting skills will be essential when handling large metal components, contributing to efficient workflow. Additionally, your experience in metal fabrication will enhance your ability to create precise and durable welded structures.
