Quality Specialist

Location: Broussard, LA
Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour (DOE)
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Overtime as needed)
Job Type: Full-Time

As a Quality Specialist I, you will:

• Perform basic visual and dimensional inspections on products and materials.
• Follow ISO 9001 quality standards and document control procedures.
• Assist with internal and external audit preparation and observations.
• Document nonconformances and communicate findings to leadership.
• Complete quality forms, reports, and inspection checklists accurately.
• Follow and understand standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Participate in root cause discussions and continuous improvement efforts.
• Suggest minor process improvements to enhance quality and efficiency.
• Maintain compliance with company quality requirements.
• Communicate effectively with team members across departments.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Manufacturing or quality experience is a plus but not required.

• Moderate physical activity.
• Approximately:
  • 50% sitting
  • 25% walking
  • 25% standing
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and/or pull up to 50 pounds.
• Steel-toe boots required while working in the warehouse.
• Safety glasses required in designated work areas.

The selected candidate will receive hands‑on training from the Quality Supervisor, including:

• Basic visual and dimensional inspections
• Documentation of nonconformances
• Quality documentation and inspection checklists
• ISO 9001 quality systems
• Wrike software (as needed)
