Signal of South Louisiana Security Supervisor

Job Type: Full-time / Part-time Pay: 18.00

Location:

Lafayette, Louisiana

Schedule:

Days, nights, weekends, events, and flexible shifts available

Signal of South Louisiana is looking for a disciplined, reliable Security Supervisor who takes pride in leading a team the right way. This is not a position for someone who simply wants to show up and collect a paycheck. We needs a leader who holds themselves and their team to a higher standard.

Our supervisors are expected to be alert, visible, professional, accountable, and responsive at all times. You represent both Signal and our clients, so your leadership, conduct, communication, and oversight of officers directly reflect on the company. If you want to be part of a professional team with clear expectations, strong leadership, and real opportunities to grow, we want to hear from you.

What

You Will Do
  • Oversee and support assigned Security Officers to ensure post orders, patrols, and reporting standards are being met
  • Conduct site visits and spot checks to verify officers are alert, engaged, and performing assigned duties
  • Monitor entrances, exits, parking areas, surveillance systems, and designated access points across assigned sites
  • Verify and control access for visitors, employees, vendors, and contractors as required by client post orders
  • Maintain a visible, professional leadership presence that deters theft, trespassing, vandalism, and unsafe behavior
  • Respond promptly and professionally to alarms, disturbances, suspicious activity, emergencies, and client concerns—and support officers in the field when needed
  • Observe, document, and immediately report hazards, incidents, policy violations, and security concerns
  • Review, complete, and ensure accuracy of daily activity reports, incident reports, and shift logs submitted by officers
  • Communicate clearly and respectfully with clients, visitors, employees, law enforcement, dispatch, and company leadership
  • Coach, train, and hold officers accountable to company policies, client post orders, and applicable laws
  • Assist with scheduling, shift coverage, and ensuring posts are properly staffed at all times
  • Address performance issues, conduct concerns, or attendance problems directly and professionally, escalating to management as needed
Scheduling Responsibilities
  • Build, adjust, and maintain officer schedules to ensure every post is properly covered at all times
  • Approve or deny shift swaps and time-off requests based on staffing needs and company policy
  • Fill open or last-minute shifts as needed, ensuring no post goes uncovered
  • Monitor overtime and ensure shift coverage is distributed fairly across officers, rather than relying on the same individual(s) repeatedly
  • Communicate schedule changes to officers in a timely manner
  • Coordinate with management on staffing needs, call-offs, and coverage gaps
What We Expect
  • Show up on time, prepared, and set the standard for the officers you lead
  • Take ownership of assigned sites and ensure required patrols, reports, and duties are being completed without needing constant oversight from above
  • Maintain a professional appearance, attitude, and demeanor at all times
  • Lead by example—accept coaching, follow direction, and hold yourself accountable for your team's performance
  • Use good judgment, stay calm under pressure, and know when to escape an issue
  • Communicate early and clearly if a problem affects site coverage or officer performance
  • Treat every client location as if you were responsible for protecting your own business

Reliability is not optional. Attendance, report quality, patrol completion, professionalism, and adherence to post orders—both yours and your team's—are monitored and matter.

Qualifications
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • High school diploma…
